Description of Cameron
On December 3, 2019, Officers in a police helicopter spotted a truck driven by Cameron Lamb, purportedly chasing another vehicle, and followed the truck home.
KCPD officer Eric DeValkenaere and his partner were nearby and responded. As they arrived, Lamb was backing his pickup into the garage in the rear of the house. After pursuing Cameron to the back of the house, and without identifying themselves, DeValkenaere fired four gunshots in rapid succession, killing Cameron Lamb. The shooting transpired within nine seconds of the detectives arriving.
In November 2021 DeValkenaere was found guilty of manslaughter. In 2024 he was pardoned by then Governor Mike Parsons.
