Description of An Uncommon Man

“Ain’t no man can avoid being born average, but there ain’t no man got to be common.” – Satchel Paige
A legendary pitcher who played in both the Negro Leagues and the MLB, Satchel Paige played professional baseball for 38 years. He was 59 years old when he played his last major league game, which is a record that stands to this day. This piece is based on a photo of Satchel and his 1941 Packard 110 and I feel it shows all the attitude he was said to have had.
