Precious

One  day when I was worked hard to create what turned out to be a really crappy piece of art, I kept telling myself “You’re making this too precious.” I was right. It looked contrived and overworked.
After scraping and dissolving 6 hours of work, I took the canvas back to the original underpainting. When I went back to it,  I focused on trying to feel playful while painting. I hope it worked.
